A source tells you more than what’s for sale.
Every listing will separate what a grower tells us from what has been documented, and it will say plainly when something isn’t known. Where the facts exist, you’ll see:
- WhoThe grower, saver, or seller behind the seed, and how to reach them.
- WhereThe place the seed is grown or kept, shown at a level that respects the grower’s privacy.
- OriginWhere the variety came from and how long it has been grown, in the grower’s words.
- Growing notesDays to maturity, spacing, and what the grower has learned about it.
- TestingGermination results and dates, only when the grower provides them.
- AvailabilityWhat’s in stock, when it was last confirmed, and how it can be obtained.
Grower statements stay grower statements.
What the grower has told us, such as a commitment to non-GMO sourcing. Shown as their claim.
Backed by something we can point to: a record, a test result, or a listing on a recognized public list. Shown separately.
Missing facts remain missing. We don’t fill blanks with guesses, and we don’t invent tests or endorsements.
A label is a start, not the whole story.
Most vegetable, herb, and flower seed sold to home gardeners has never been genetically engineered, so “non-GMO” on its own says little. What helps is knowing who grew the seed, where it came from, and what the grower will stand behind.
